This anthology of original fictional short stories and poetry is authored by six greatly talented students (grades 9-12) who are members of the Young Writers Workshop at the Pickford Community Library in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The genres include sci-fi, fantasy, romance, personal-based fiction, poetry, and action/adventure. All of the writers attended a series of free bi-weekly workshops at the library to learn about writing from creation to publishing. Author Janet Beasley (“Maycly the Trilogy” Volume I from the Hidden Earth Series), who is also the owner of JLB Creatives Publishing in Florida, and her sister, Dar Bagby, editor and fantasy illustrator, taught the sessions. With the support of Ann Marie Smith, Pickford Community Library Manager, the young authors now have their names associated with a trade publisher. As a result, they already have their foot in the door of the publishing world—a definite asset for any new author.
